As Nurteks Carpet Industry and Trade Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “Nurteks” or the “Company”), we place the utmost importance and sensitivity on the protection of your personal data. In this context, all personal data related to individuals associated with Nurteks are processed in accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”).

As defined in the KVKK, Nurteks, acting in the capacity of “Data Controller,” processes your personal data with care and diligence, within the limits set by legislation, in accordance with destruction requirements and retention periods, for the purposes and methods described below:

Definitions
Within this Personal Data Protection Disclosure Text:

Personal Data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (e.g., name, surname, Turkish ID number, address, phone number, login/logout times, location, resumes, place and date of birth, email address, image recordings, and similar data).
Sensitive Personal Data: Data that require stricter protection due to the risk of discrimination or victimization if learned, including racial or ethnic origin, political opinion, religious belief, sect, attire, union membership, health, biometric data, and similar information.
Processing of Personal Data: Any operation performed on personal data, whether automated or non-automated, including collection, recording, storage, alteration, sharing with third parties, or international transfer.
KVKK: Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, published in the Official Gazette on April 7, 2016.
Communiqué: Communiqué on Procedures and Principles to be Followed in the Fulfillment of the Obligation of Disclosure, published on March 10, 2018, Official Gazette No. 30356.
Authority: Personal Data Protection Authority.
Data Processor: Real or legal person who processes personal data on behalf of the Data Controller based on authorization.
Data Controller: Real or legal person responsible for determining the purposes and means of processing personal data and for establishing and managing the data recording system.
Data Subject: The natural person whose personal data are processed.
Contact Person: Individual responsible for communication with the Authority and Data Subjects.

Collection and Processing of Personal Data
Personal data of our customers, employees, candidates, company officials, suppliers, business partners, firm and institution employees we interact with, visitors, and other third parties may be collected and processed by our Company using automated or non-automated methods, including Company units, communication forms, phone calls, electronic applications, software, contracts, email, social media, cookies, and similar means, in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey, international agreements, and KVKK.

Your personal data will be processed:

Lawfully and fairly,
Accurately and up-to-date when necessary,
For specified, explicit, and legitimate purposes,
Limited and proportionate to the purpose of processing,
Retained for the period required by law or for the intended purpose.
Purposes of Personal Data Processing
Collected personal data may be processed for purposes including, but not limited to:

Conducting company activities and operations,
Maintaining communication with customers, suppliers, business partners, employees, candidates, and other relevant individuals,
Accounting, financial, and procurement processes,
Ensuring physical security and supervision of company locations,
Legal compliance, internal audits, complaints management, analyses, and other company processes,
Determining and executing business strategies, logistics operations, and IT processes,
Conducting e-commerce and web-based operations in compliance with applicable regulations,
Using cookies to collect information on website usage.
Transfer of Personal Data
Your personal data may be transferred within Turkey or abroad to shareholders, top management, business partners, suppliers, Company employees, contractors, regulatory authorities, or other third parties, in accordance with KVKK and other applicable legislation.

Data Retention and Deletion
Personal data are stored in accordance with Company policies and procedures for the duration required by applicable law or, if unspecified, for the period necessary for the purposes for which the data were processed. After this period, personal data are deleted, anonymized, or destroyed in accordance with Company procedures.

Rights of the Data Subject
Under Article 11 of KVKK, you have the right to:

Learn whether your personal data are processed,
Request information if they have been processed,
Learn the purpose of processing and whether they are used accordingly,
Know third parties to whom personal data are transferred domestically or internationally,
Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data,
Request deletion or destruction of personal data in accordance with KVKK and other legislation,
Object to automated processing that results in a negative outcome against you,
Request compensation in case of damage due to unlawful processing.
Applications to Exercise Your Rights
Applications can be submitted in writing or electronically to the contact address or email provided, along with identity verification documents. Requests will be concluded free of charge within 30 days, except if additional costs are determined by the Authority.

This Disclosure Text is effective as of 19/05/2020 and is published on nurteks.com.tr. Updates to comply with legislation will be announced and the effective date updated accordingly.
